China Airlines expands codeshare deal with Japan Airlines

China Airlines and Japan Airlines these days signed a memoranda of understanding to expand their strategic cooperation on product and rider transportation.

Due to the recognition of Japan as a travel destination among Taiwanese folks, as a primary step, Japan Airlines and China Airlines have united to strengthen this cooperation by increasing the code-sharing agreement to hide all routes operated by each airlines between Japan and Taiwan from the half of Feb 2017.

“The new memoranda with China Airlines is a crucial milestone in additional enhancing partnership between the 2 airlines to supply customers higher access to the destinations between Japan and Taiwan,” aforesaid Hideki Oshima, JAL military officer, negotiation and alliances.

The total range of code-share flights can expand from twenty eight weekly flights on the capital of Japan (Haneda)-Taipei (Songshan) route to 240 flights every week at the foremost (the range varies counting on seasonal schedules).


“The improved flexibility and convenience can enhance the mixing of China Airlines and Japan Airlines’ individual networks,” aforesaid Steve Yangtze River, senior vp of China Airlines.
